How Gus’s Auto Repair collects, uses and protects your information. Last updated October 2026.
Gus’s Auto Repair (“we,” “us”) is an auto repair shop at 501 Rankin Rd Ste A, Houston, TX 77073. You can reach us at 281-443-8998, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or by email at [email protected].
When you book an appointment, call us, or bring in your vehicle, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details (year, make, model, mileage), the service you need, your preferred appointment time, and any notes you give us about your vehicle. Like most websites, our site may also record basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited.
To show you what we find and to document your vehicle’s condition, we may take photos or short videos of your vehicle, including the odometer, VIN and license plate. We send them only to you, or to someone you ask us to send them to, and keep them with your repair records.
If you check the text-message consent box when booking, or otherwise agree to receive texts, Gus’s Auto Repair may send text messages to the number you provided about your appointment and repair, such as confirmations, reminders, estimate approvals and pickup notices.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How you opt in: by checking the optional “Text updates” box on our online booking form or question form at gusautorepair.org. Checking the box is never required to book or get service. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
No sharing of text message opt-ins: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Our website and online booking tools use cookies and similar technologies to keep forms working, remember your booking choices, and measure basic, anonymous site use (such as which pages are visited). We don’t use them to sell your information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some booking features may not work without them.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business (for example, our scheduling, messaging and payment tools), and only as needed to provide those services, or when required by law.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
We keep repair records, such as work orders, invoices, your approvals and vehicle photos, for as long as we need them for warranty, legal, tax and accounting purposes, and then delete them. Records of your text-message consent and opt-outs are kept as long as phone carriers and the law require.
Our website, online booking and text messages are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
You can ask us to update or delete your contact information, or stop receiving messages from us, at any time by calling 281-443-8998, emailing [email protected], or replying STOP to any text.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Our Service Terms explain how appointments, repairs, payment and vehicle pickup work.
