How appointments, repairs, payment and vehicle pickup work at Gus’s Auto Repair. Last updated October 2026.
These terms apply when you book online, call, or bring your vehicle to Gus’s Auto Repair at 501 Rankin Rd Ste A, Houston, TX 77073. When you drop off your vehicle, you’ll also review and sign a work order. If the work order and these terms ever differ, the signed work order controls.
This website and online booking are intended for adults 18 and older. By booking or sending us a request, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you own the vehicle or are authorized by the owner.
We work on American, Japanese and Korean gas cars, trucks, SUVs and vans, up to ¾-ton (like a Ford F-250, Chevy Silverado 2500 or Ram 2500). We do not work on diesel, European, hybrid or electric vehicles, or on 1-ton and larger trucks. If one is booked by mistake, we’ll call you to cancel.
Your booking reserves a 30-minute drop-off window, not a finish time. We’ll give you a time estimate after we look at your vehicle. Need to change your time? Use the reschedule link in your confirmation email or call 281-443-8998.
Estimates are based on what we can see at the time. If the cost will go above the amount you approved, we contact you and wait for your OK before going further.
We use quality parts that fit your vehicle and come with a supplier warranty, unless you ask for something different. Ask and we’ll show you or return your old parts, except parts that must go back to the supplier for a core charge or warranty claim. If you’d like us to install parts you bring in, ask first. Whether we can, and what’s covered, depends on the part.
We may drive your vehicle on public roads to find a problem or check a repair. Please make sure your registration and insurance are current, and remove any toll tag you don’t want used.
Payment is due when you pick up your vehicle. Ask us which payment methods we accept when you book or drop off. Under Texas law, a repair shop may keep a vehicle until the repair charges are paid (Texas Property Code, Chapter 70).
We’ll call, text or email you when your vehicle is ready, or when you decline repairs. Please pick it up promptly. If a vehicle isn’t picked up within a few business days, a daily storage fee may apply, as allowed by Texas law. We’ll tell you the amount before it starts. Vehicles left after written notice may be handled under Texas law (Texas Property Code, Chapter 70, and Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 683), which can include a sale of the vehicle to cover unpaid charges. Need more time? Call us and we’ll work with you.
Warranty coverage depends on the part and the repair. We’ll tell you what yours covers before work starts. Warranty repairs must be done at our shop unless we agree otherwise. Warranties don’t cover parts you supplied, damage from accidents or misuse, or repairs made by others.
Please remove valuables before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in vehicles, or for loss or damage caused by fire, theft, weather or other events beyond our control.
We’re an independent shop, not a dealer. Recall repairs are done free by the manufacturer’s dealers. You can check your vehicle at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
